Why do older workers seem more committed than younger ones today?

ree

I’ve recently noticed something interesting — people in their mid-forties often seem calmer, more systematic, and more productive than those in their twenties or early thirties.

A small incident really made me think about this. I go to the same car wash every week, and this time a man around 45 handled the cleaning. To my surprise, he finished the job in half the usual time and the car looked way cleaner than ever before. He worked so patiently and efficiently, it actually impressed me. At one point, he even used a small vacuum cleaner to clean the corners and tight spots that others usually miss. Earlier, younger workers would take longer and still miss small details or seem distracted.

Watching this man work made me realize that experience brings not just skill but also a sense of commitment and pride in what you do. Maybe it’s not really about age, but about the maturity and focus that come with time and experience.
