Finding Peace in a $250–$300 Purchase!

ree

Every couple of months, there is an addiction in me to buy something, to splurge on something that I don’t really need. For a long time, I believed this was not a good habit. I judged myself for it and tried to resist it.

Lately, I have started observing this urge more honestly. I realized that when I finally buy that thing, it gives me immense pleasure. Buying an object should be extremely useful in my routine life, that is what I am zeroing in on.

There is excitement, relief, and a quiet happiness that follows. I feel satisfied, calm, and settled for a while. It is not about excess or showing off, but about the feeling it creates within me. That indulgence feels like a personal reward and leaves me content and emotionally satiated.
