Opportunities

The other day I was hunting for some resources outside my contact list. I sent messages, made calls, even searched online thinking I needed new connections to get things done.

After spending quite some time doing all that, I suddenly realized I already had what I was looking for sitting quietly in my own list. It was one of those funny yet eye opening moments. I actually laughed at myself for not noticing it earlier.

It made me think how often we overlook what is already available because we assume the answer is somewhere else. Maybe next time I should start by checking what is already within reach before going on a wild search outside. Lesson learned in the most casual way possible.
