Pen, Stylus, or Laptop? I Tried All Three Today.

I've been hearing a lot about the benefits of writing, so today I decided to try all three methods—writing with a pen on paper, using a stylus on my mobile, and typing on my laptop.

Each one felt different.

  1. Writing in my diary with a pen was by far the most calming and soothing experience. It made me slow down, reflect, and simply enjoy the moment.

  2. Typing on my laptop came next. Since I'm comfortable typing, it felt effortless and productive. Editing, saving, copying, and organizing everything is incredibly easy. For office work or creating content, I don't think anything beats a laptop.

  3. Using a stylus was enjoyable too, especially because it combines handwriting with digital convenience. But for me, it wasn't as relaxing as pen and paper or as efficient as a laptop.

My takeaway?

✍️ Pen & paper – Best for journaling, self-reflection, and unwinding after a long day.

💻 Laptop – Best for work, content creation, and anything that requires speed and organization.

📱 Stylus – Best when you're commuting or want the feel of handwriting while staying digital.

Personally, I still prefer my laptop for most of my writing because it's the most convenient for my workflow. But when I want to slow down and connect with my thoughts, nothing comes close to a pen and paper.

What about you? Which do you prefer—pen, stylus, or laptop? I'd love to hear about your experience and why it works for you.
