Embarking on a journey of experimentation has been an enlightening experience for me. Through trials and errors, I have navigated the intricate pathways of various projects, each offering its own set of challenges and triumphs. Amidst this process, I have discovered a profound clarity regarding my true passions and the projects that resonate with my soul. The realization dawned upon me after delving into a myriad of ventures, ranging from creative pursuits to entrepreneurial endeavors. While each project held its allure, there was one that ignited a fervent spark within me – a digital marketing campaign aimed at promoting sustainability in local communities. As I immersed myself in this project, I witnessed firsthand the power of passion propelling me forward. The satisfaction derived from creating meaningful content and fostering connections with like-minded individuals fueled my enthusiasm like never before. With each milestone achieved, my confidence soared, affirming my decision to pursue this path wholeheartedly. However, this journey was not devoid of setbacks. There were projects that, despite initial excitement, failed to resonate with me on a deeper level. Yet, instead of viewing these experiences as failures, I embraced them as invaluable lessons. They served as guiding beacons, illuminating the path towards my true calling. Today, armed with newfound clarity and unwavering dedication, I embark on my chosen project with renewed vigor. According to statistics from a recent survey by Forbes, 80% of individuals who are passionate about their work report higher levels of satisfaction and fulfillment. This statistic resonates deeply with my own experience, underscoring the profound impact of aligning passion with purpose. In essence, my journey of experimentation has not only unveiled my true passions but has also instilled within me a sense of confidence, perseverance, and dedication. As I continue to tread this path illuminated by passion, I do so with boundless enthusiasm, eager to make a meaningful impact in the world.

Sharing a book recommendation with my daughter turned into a moment of pure happiness for me. Seeing her engage with the book I suggested was fulfilling, but the real joy came when we discussed what she learned from it. She shared some valuable insights that she gained from the book, and it was clear that she had absorbed important lessons for daily life. For example, she spoke about the importance of empathy and kindness, reflecting on how a character's actions in the story inspired her to reach out to a classmate who was struggling. Another point she made was about perseverance. She recounted a story from the book where the main character faced numerous challenges but persisted nonetheless. This resonated with her, and she talked about how it motivated her to keep trying, even when things get tough. As a parent, there's nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that your child is learning and growing in meaningful ways. Hearing my daughter articulate these lessons and seeing her eagerness to apply them filled me with pride and contentment. It's moments like these that make parenting truly rewarding.

After losing INR 16,341 on the fancy Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus,(https://www.zillionpals.com/forum/lifestyle/a-comedy-of-errors-in-smartphone-spending) I swore off splurging on flagship phones. So, I settled for a J7 Pro. But oh, the temptation! I couldn't resist and splurged again, this time dropping a whopping 52K on a shiny new Galaxy S8. 📱💸 I was over the moon with my purchase. Even though my parents didn't question my decision, they loved the phone's display. 🌟 I had a blast snapping awesome photos and getting props from my American relative. Even my sister-in-law was impressed with the night shots! 📸🌙 Then, disaster struck! A hailstorm threatened my precious phone, so I panicked and sold it the next day, barely two and a half months after buying it. 😱💔 I took another hit, losing INR 15,800 this time. 😭 I made a solemn vow to myself: no more pricey phones, no matter how strong the craving! 🙅‍♂️💰

I have a peculiar habit of splurging on flagship phones at least once a year. Since 2017, I've faithfully purchased Samsung's Galaxy 'S' series flagship smartphones without fail. My journey began with the S8 Plus, followed by the S8, S9 Plus, S10, Note 10, S20 Plus, S21, and now the S23 and S24. Funny thing is, I somehow managed to skip the S22 in 2022. Instead, I took a leap of faith with the OnePlus 10R that year, only to regret it yet again. My first foray into this expensive habit occurred in July 2017 when I acquired the Samsung S8 Plus, complete with insurance, through a 24-month EMI plan. However, after just seven days of use, the pressure of owning such a pricey device became overwhelming. Despite having insurance coverage, the fear of any potential mishap loomed large.   During the brief period of using the phone, I even noticed some quality issues with the device. The back of the phone seemed to lack quality; I observed that the battery part was bulging out, leaving a rather concerning impression. This discovery further reinforced my decision not to keep the phone for long and ultimately pushed me to sell it right away. Unable to bear the burden, I decided to sell it after merely a week of ownership. Though I incurred a loss of INR 16,341, I felt an immense sense of relief.   Finding solace, I opted for the more affordable Galaxy J7 Pro at the time, which even fetched me INR 30,900 in cash. Despite the initial setback, I considered it a triumph and felt genuinely content, despite the financial loss incurred. Coming soon: the gripping chronicles of my perpetual dance with flagship phones, where every transaction is a masterclass in financial wizardry... or so I jest. From the Samsung S8 Plus misadventure to the latest Galaxy S24 fiasco, join me on this sarcastic rollercoaster ride of monetary mishaps.

I've noticed something lately - fear creeps in when we tie our happiness to the future. I'm excited about my upcoming Singapore trip, but alongside that excitement, there's a bit of worry. What if things don't go as planned? What if I'm not as happy as I expect to be? Image by Engin Akyurt (https://pixabay.com/users/engin_akyurt-3656355/?utm_source=link-attribution&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=image&utm_content=2394659)from Pixabay(https://pixabay.com//?utm_source=link-attribution&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=image&utm_content=2394659) So, I've decided to change my perspective. Instead of waiting for the future to bring me joy, I'm learning to be happy right now. It's the small things, like enjoying a quiet moment with my coffee, feeling the warmth of the sun, or getting lost in a good book, that make me happy every day. Now, my trip to Singapore is not just a far-off dream; it's a bonus to my already happy life. By focusing on the present, I've let go of the anxiety about what's to come. Each day is a gift, and I'm grateful for the simple pleasures that make me smile. Living in the now has made me realize that happiness is not just about big moments; it's about finding joy in the little things, one day at a time.

Last Sunday, I finally mustered the courage to address a task long overdue – organizing my almirah of books, a six-year endeavor. What started as sorting routine papers in my TV cabinet led me to a cluttered book haven. Within the maze of old brochures, DVDs, and misplaced files, determination fueled my efforts. I purged the unnecessary and meticulously arranged what truly mattered. The result? A remarkable sense of space and order that evoked joy. With books and files now effortlessly accessible, the satisfaction of a tidy space brought unparalleled comfort. Amid this transformation, a spontaneous incident unfolded – a break with my family over a bowl of fresh fruits. Laughter and togetherness intertwined with accomplishment. This journey not only cleared my physical space but also revitalized my spirit. It served as a reminder that outer order contributes to inner peace. In conclusion, my experience underscores the joy of reclaiming my space and cherishing both accomplishment and family moments. Last weekend, I visited an astonishing food fete in my city. It was a unique event that left me spellbound. The vegetarian dishes and delicacies were mouth-watering. My family and I spent two hours indulging in the culinary delights. We even tried some extraordinary new dishes that were out of this world. One dish that particularly captured our attention was the Mexican tacos. The moment my daughter took her first bite, her eyes widened with delight. She exclaimed, "These tacos are absolutely amazing! The combination of flavors is incredible. The hearty beans, the fresh salsa, and the zesty lime—it's like a fiesta in my mouth!" As I watched her savor each bite, I couldn't help but agree with her. The tacos were indeed a work of culinary art. The perfectly seasoned beans, nestled in warm tortillas and topped with vibrant toppings, created a burst of flavors that transported us to the streets of Mexico. It was a true testament to the richness and diversity of vegetarian cuisine. The food fete drew over 10,000 food enthusiasts, creating a vibrant atmosphere. We relished fragrant Biryani and savored the creamy Paneer Butter Masala. The presentation of the dishes was as impressive as their taste. The event showcased the talents of local chefs and entrepreneurs, leaving us in awe of their creativity and passion for cooking. The food fete was not just a celebration of flavors but also a celebration of the universal language of food. It brought people together, transcending cultural boundaries and creating lasting memories. As we left the fete, my daughter couldn't stop talking about the Mexican tacos. She said, "I can't wait to explore more dishes from different cuisines. Food truly has the power to connect people and ignite our taste buds with joy." We departed the fete with cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for the diverse culinary landscape. We eagerly await the next edition—a gastronomic adventure unlike any other.

Occasionally, I get ideas and the power to implement them is enormous. It's instantaneous - I get ideas and take immediate action to bring them to life. My enthusiasm during these moments is at its peak. I achieve tasks that I could not have even dreamt of. I used to believe that curiosity and external stimuli were the primary drivers of my ideas. As humans, we have an innate desire to understand the world around us, and this drive often leads us to explore new ideas, theories, and concepts. Exposure to art, music, literature, or nature can stimulate our imagination and inspire new ideas and creativity. Additionally, challenges, obstacles, and problems can also motivate us to come up with new solutions. Apart from the above, I discovered one more amazing factor recently and that is: 'Happiness'. I have noticed that when I am happy, I am more creative and powerful. I've discovered that happiness has a profound effect on my creativity and motivation. When I'm feeling joyful, my mind seems to open up to new possibilities, and I find myself generating incredible ideas that I might not have thought of otherwise. This state of mind also gives me the courage and energy to pursue these ideas with passion and dedication, often leading to remarkable achievements that I never would have thought possible. Have you ever experienced this kind of creative surge and motivation when you're feeling happy and inspired?"

According to Science, humans use barely 2-4 percent of their intelligence. You will be surprised to know that even the most intelligent person of the millennium- Einstein, did not use more than 15 percent of his intelligence. Even people who have extraordinary vision and intelligence hardly use 10-20 percent of their potential. This makes me wonder what I am using my intelligence for. What vision do I have in my life? These are basic questions to ask yourself yet powerful in order to lead a meaningful life. I am trying to figure it out for myself. I hope you must have thought about it before, if not what is your opinion about the same. Share your thoughts and keep this discussion going. By the way, you must be wondering why I mentioned only 93% and not 100% in the title. Well, I have to reach that level shortly :) Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay

There are situations when you find yourself in a fix because you can't help someone as they don't think you can help them. They are mostly younger people. They either think that the situation should be handled by them or the elders have no experience. At the end of the day, they fail. Later, they realize that they could have asked their seniors or elders for a solution. Elders have gone through similar difficulties. They have the right experience to provide help in any given situation. In the worst case scenario, if they can't help they can suggest a way to handle it at least. I offer help only when it is asked. I have seen if you help someone without asking for it they do not value it. Your children, younger siblings, younger colleagues are there in front of you. You see their problems but don't offer any solution until asked. In some cases help can be offered where children and youngsters are involved. Image by Olga Ozik from Pixabay

Students who are appearing for CBSE Class X examinations in April 2023 in India must solve previous year question papers for better results. Photo by Karolina Grabowska from Pexels I found the "Oswal-Gurukul" book quite helpful for my daughter who will be appearing for the said exam. It is helping her to know the important questions that have been asked in the previous years. She is also aware of the trend of the question papers now. Moreover, every question is solved so she gets to know the answer instantly from the book itself. It has solved papers of CBSE's last 9 years for the following subjects: 1. English 2. Mathematics (Standard) 3. Science 4. Social Science (All sets included: outside Delhi & Delhi). It is as per the latest board syllabus issued on 21st April, 2022. One must read and learn from the NCERT books first. Later they can solve the question papers of the above mentioned book to secure good marks in the exams. The MRP is INR 799.00 and it has 680 pages in total. The book is available on Amazon India or you can get one from Oswal Publishers. Wishing students all the best!

The other day I found out that my daughter who is in 10th standard was learning the whole answer from the book. It took a lot of time. I suggested that she underline the keywords and read the answer carefully. Later, she can write the answer in her own words including the underlined keywords. Now she is using this technique extensively in all the subjects, saving a lot of time and energy. #studies #learning #techniques #keywords #highlight #underline #time #energy #exam #preparation #book #answer #students

Generally, we are so engrossed in our lives that we forget the people whom we are surrounded by. We think of the following selfishly: a) our health, b) our goals, c) our money, d) our children, e) our growth, f) our relationships, g) our happiness and h) our overall satisfaction Recently, I have developed the habit of thinking about people's prosperity along the way. Our prosperity is directly linked with the society's prosperity. Let the world prosper and we will prosper automatically. If I make sense to you, give your feedback. Let us pledge for the prosperity of one and all on this earth.

I recently found out that my bank has debited my account for Rs.550 against stamp duty charges for locker agreement. Last year they had already charged this amount from me while opening a locker in their bank. Due to some internal mistake of the bank they need to prepare a fresh locker agreement again this year. I cooperated with them and asked them not to charge any amount from me. Despite promising me they charged the said amount. I wrote an email to them for the refund but they said it is mandatory. Thereafter I registered a complaint against the bank in the Reserve Bank of India. I got my refund within two days of filing the complaint. We need to fight for our money. Banks will keep on charging similar amounts from you. If you are not cautious they will charge anything into your account. You will not come to know about this unless you go through your statements on a regular basis. Please be careful of such charges next time. Communicate with your bank immediately if you find any ambiguous charge into your bank account. I am sure you must be having your own such experiences with your bank. My daughter is in 10th grade. Everybody asks her about which coaching classes she is going for further studies. My daughter simply replies that she hasn't joined any. For your reference, I am writing about coaching classes for subjects like Science, Mathematics, English and Social Studies. Her school class teacher got impressed with her and advised not to join any coaching class. The classes at school and self study at home is more than sufficient for a student to secure good marks. Children spend 6-8 hours in school studying various subjects. These are generally theoretical and it does not include physical activities like running, swimming and other outdoor games. They come home, have their lunch and are ready to go for tuition at a nearby place where they again spend 2-3 hours studying the same thing that they did in the morning in the school. The sum total is zero as they are blank at the end of the day. They do not gain anything, they do not learn anything. They work like robots everyday. I don't see any need for extra classes after school hours. Still 80% to 90% of parents send their children to coaching classes. I came across a meaningful article, "In coaching crazy India, there is a rush for dummy schools" in the "The Times of India" newspaper. See the attachment if you want to read the full article. I appeal to the parents not to send their children to coaching classes. In fact, go for proper career counseling for your children that can help them focus on their studies and career in future. This would be the best help you can do to your children. Photo by Artem Podrez:

Since childhood, I have seen students going abroad for higher education. The problem still persists. The Indian education institutions are not at par with the International universities except a few ones. a) Currently, 11.3 lakh Indian students are studying abroad. b) Some reports suggest the annual amount spent abroad by Indian students could be up to $30bn. c) The government's revised budget for funding 8 new IITs in 2018 was INR 13,990 crore, or around $2bn at that time. The above figures are taken from the article of Chetan Bhagat in The Times of India newspaper. Article attached for your reference. Good food should be the right food for our body but many times we tend to complicate things. What is good food actually FOR YOU? 1. The food which is FAMILIAR to you: The food that you usually talk about in your day to day life. The food that is unpronounceable, definitely is not good for you. So try consuming local and seasonal food that is easily available at your place. 2. HOMECOOKED food is good for you: Cooking food at home in the right proportions is always good. For example, turmeric and spinach are good for our health but taking them in large quantities is not advisable at all. It should be taken as we are used to consuming it. There is no rocket science behind it. 3. Food should be AFFORDABLE: The food which is available in local markets and produced by local farmers is always economical and tastes fresh. As mentioned in point 1, it is seasonal so consuming it will have more benefits. Packaged foods like millets, oats, juices, biscuits etc. should not be consumed at all. They come at a price and are unhealthy as well. I am following the above and by God's grace I am experiencing excellent health benefits out of it. Do you agree or disagree? Please provide your inputs. #food #good #homecooked #affordable #familiar #seasonal #local #economical #health #farmers #fresh #rujutadiwekar #youtube #channel #thankyou The above post is created after watching the YouTube video of Rujuta Diwekar channel Thank you Rujuta Diwekar.
